Within a relational and inclusive environment, I help clients develop awareness, self-compassion, and intentional action as they navigate life’s challenges with authenticity and mindfulness.
Through practices in self-compassion, I guide clients to identify their goals in therapy, clarify their strengths and capabilities, ultimately fostering a sense of agency and confidence in their lives. Sessions are tailored to the needs of individuals to intentionally and strategically utilize their therapy hour.

I know personally how conflicting it can be to ask for help, and I am happy to make time for you regarding your concerns and questions.

Your unique concerns and/or life challenges can be discussed on the phone, through email, or in your first session. Depending on the complexity of your situation, a multitude of factors could be impacting your life. These factors will determine your treatment plan and the corresponding time frame. Your goals for therapy, the severity of your situation, life’s history will all impact the amount of time we will see each other.

I charge $150 per hour. This fee is standard across the industry and reflects my training and experience.

McTavish Counselling accepts e-Transfer, cash, credit card, and/or cheque.

Soon, I will provide direct billing to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), Work BC, First Nations Health Authority, and the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). I am currently in the application process.
For all other insurance companies, I unfortunately do not provide a direct billing service. I am happy to issue you a receipt after payment so that you can seek compensation directly from your insurance company. If you are interested in counselling services with us and do have insurance, please contact your insurance provider directly to evaluate your eligibility and terms.

I have a master’s degree in counsellor education from Gonzaga University. This education has made me into a counsellor who embodies a growth mindset. I intentionally:
